Spring 2016 (First year studio)
The project prompted students to create a cantilever that would be able to sustain the weight of a tennis ball at a distance of one foot (30cm) away from the ledge. The constraints of the project called for us to use one and only one deck of cards, forbidding the use of adhesives, removal of parts of the cards and using any other material. The project served as an introduction to structure, modularity and scale.
